As museum anthropologists, our tours explore the histories curated in other natural history museums. This includes analyzing dioramas, displays, and particular sites with acute attention to the political decisions that inform these choices. These tours are led by specialists, ranging from scientists to historians, artists to activists.
These tours interpret the museum, offering more complex and timely messages than museums can possibly offer through blockbuster exhibits. Current exhibits are “augmented” with contemporary socio-political context. The tours can serve as platforms to educate the public about active environmental /climate campaigns, inspiring participants to get involved.
